Unfortunately, Sony discontinued production of these cameras in 2021 and while they have released new action cams since then, those models often lack some of the important features outlined above. We continue to use the X3000 in the IRL Backpack v7 as acquiring them is still sometimes possible. With that said, it’s getting harder to find working units with each passing month. In the near future, streamers may need to adapt to using different camera options if Sony or another brand doesn’t soon release a true successor to these reliable and trusted action cams.
