How do I sign up for LiveU Solo Connect?
Solo PRO Connect is an optional cellular connectivity add-on for IRL Backpacks and LiveU Solo, Solo+ and Solo PRO customers that offers monthly unlimited-usage rate plans with access to hundreds of cellular networks across the world. Plans are available with a different monthly price depending on the selected Service Region. You will choose your preferred plan during activation, but can change plans at any time, without needing new SIM cards or hardware.
Note: Solo Connect is not available with “bring-your-own-modems”. Solo Connect and Solo PRO Connect are only available for LiveU Solo-based setups, when used with the Solo Connect Starter Kits.
To sign up for Solo Connect, you'll first need to purchase a Solo Connect Starter kit. To use your starter kit, you'll also need a compatible LiveU Solo, Solo Pro, Solo+ or IRL Backpack.
Activating your Solo Connect Plan
To activate your Solo Connect plan: after receiving your Solo Connect Modem Kit in the mail, 1) log on to the solo.liveu.tv portal, click “Activate Solo Connect” under the Solo unit you'd like to activate your modems on. 2) Then, enter the Solo Connect Serial number from the back of each modem, or on the Solo Connect Kit box. The number is in the format: SC####-#####. Only one serial number is needed to activate your modem kit.
3) Next, you'll be prompted for a reseller code. Enter code solo-uirl and click apply to set up your exclusive UnlimitedIRL discounted rate. Then, 4) you'll be asked “Which region will you use your Solo Connect in?” You should choose the region that makes sense for you. You can view pricing and supported countries and networks for each “region” here. Don't worry - you can switch regions at anytime.

5) Once you've submitted the activation for your Solo Connect kit, you must wait 1-2 hours for LiveU's operations team to activate your SIM cards and apply your LRT license. Remember to select your LRT zone after the service activation is complete. You'll know your service is activated and working when you see the cellular connections lit up green on your LiveU's on-device display under “Interfaces”.
If you've chosen to activate your Solo Connect Plan, do not click “Add LRT” as it is included in your monthly Solo Connect pricing and a separate LRT plan is not needed. The Add LRT button will disappear when your Solo Connect modems have finished activating. The standalone “LRT only” plan is intended for those using their own modems.
Upgrading from 2 to 4 Modems
If you chose a 2 Modem Kit initially and are adding another 2 Modem Kit (or if you received your IRL Backpack before June 2024), you can merge 2x 2 Modem kits into a 4 Modem Kit to access the discounted pricing.
